blacksburg country club Campus Kitchen gives food back to the community - Virginia Tech

The Campus Kitchen at Virginia Tech is a new service initiative that provides food to Radford Fairlawn Daily Bread and other agencies in the New River Valley. Student volunteers prepare meals, using surplus ingredients from the dining halls, in a kitchen operated by the Department of Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise. Over the past three years, AmeriCorps Vista members working for VT Engage developed a proposal for this program, resulting in a grant from the national Campus Kitchens Project.
