On Friday, May 3, 2019, at approximately 9:15 pm, the victim, a 20 year-old male along with the witness, was walking on the 1800 block of North 15th Street when they noticed a group of unknown black males approaching them. As the victim and the witness were passing the group of males, they ran up from behind and punched the victim in the left eye knocking him to the ground. While the victim was on the ground he was repeatedly punched and kicked by several of the males. When the victim attempted to get up and run away from the males, he was pushed into a fence causing him to fall to the ground resulting in him injuring his right shoulder, elbow and wrist. The victim also sustained cuts, bruising and swelling to his eye. No words were exchanged with the group of males prior to the unprovoked attack. The Complainant was transported to Temple Hospital and released.
